Pre-alpha 0.1.0.4c


Greetings bored mortals, last one before commencing the 0.1.1 !
The internship is going to end soon, so more and more time will be spend on H2H.
Next patch will be focusing on hex key and animation reworks. It's been a while since I haven't done new ones !


-Combo display

☼ A combo icon starts small & transparent
☼ When hit, the icon shakes, shines and gets temporarily bigger
☼ A combo end is bigger and shakes more
☼ When a combo restart, previous icons persist and fades away instead of instantly disappearing
☼ Combo list has now the correct hand orientation relative to the displayed animation gadget
☼ Centered the big combo icons, as well as the countdown, so the hand doesn't instantly move sideways from another

-Interface

☼ The current selected menu element slowly shines
☼ Selecting a menu element & going back have new sounds (moving sound is unchanged)

Solo versus Bot

☼ It is now possible to select the bot class after the player picked theirs
☼ The default color is now set to the player's (no longer just white)
☼ They are both displayed in the same screen
☼ It is now possible to select a random/mirror class/stance for the player and the bot
☼ The class list is now correctly displayed
☼ The heavy attack command cancel the bot selection back to the player
☼ The game exits only when the fade in black finished instead of instantly

-Bug fixes

[Demo] Chopstick Side Side Side isn't counted as a finished combo Fixed
[Demo] Chopstick Back Heavy Back isn't counted as a finished combo Fixed
[0.1] Ballpen Side Back Up Neutral isn't counted as a finished combo Fixed
[0.1] Unarmed Neutral Neutral Neutral Side isn't counted as a finished combo Fixed

-Behind the scenes

☼ Code is a bit cleaner, lighter and optimized ; executable is a bit smaller
☼ Instead of having to load every combo icon directions, there's only Neutral, Heavy and Up flipped/rotated when needed
☼ Instead of having one sprite per keyboard character, there's only one font image cropped when needed
☼ Text display can now have a color intensity value
☼ New executable icon

-Known issues

☼ [Demo] Gravity kicks in only when a movement attack ends
☼ [0.1.0.2] Changing to windowed mode at screen resolution will tear the display, but fine in reverse order
☼ [0.1.0.3] It is difficult to successfully take a screenshot, it is black instead
☼ [0.1.0.3] It is difficult to go back to the game window after switching to another
☼ [0.1.0.3] Cannot move the window in windowed mode, or at least it is very difficult
☼ [0.1.0.3] Not all resources are freed when navigating in menus & gamemodes
☼ [0.1.0.4b] Picking 50FPS or bellow could break a bit the physics
☼ [0.1.0.4b] When the game lags the physics breaks a bit
☼ [0.1.0.4c] Going back to class selection menu from an exited game does an extra fade in/out
☼ [0.1.0.4c] Going back to solo class selection menu doesn't immediately reset the selection back
☼ [0.1.0.4c] Combo icon color for Side and Back are shifted up/down in x86
☼ [0.1.0.4c] Cannot select exclusive stance from random/mirror class in bot selection
☼ [0.1.0.4c] Class icons have some black leftovers
